Oak Orchard Yacht Club has activities for power boaters and sailors alike. OOYC is a reciprocating club providing its members with visiting privileges at a multitude of other yacht clubs on the great lakes and beyond. The club has an active contingent of power boaters who often cruise together. Many of our power fleet are members of the Power Squadron and/or the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Oak Orchard Yacht Club has a very successful youth sailing program with fully qualified instructors, who teach boat handling, safety and racing techniques to an enthusiastic group of youngsters each season. For more information concerning our Youth Sailing Program, visit their website, or contact John Brown.

Oak Orchard Yacht Club puts great emphasis on providing social opportunities for its members. One focal point of the activity is socializing on the docks. Take this opportunity to get away from your own cockpit or cabin and wander. You will encounter all sorts of interesting people and happenings. The Club also has parties on about a bi-monthly basis. Parties are usually in a theme mode with dinner and dancing. The principle events are the Commodore’s Ball and Season Opener. An integral part of the Season Opener Weekend is┬áCommissioning┬áCeremony, inspection of the fleet, and a boat parade and review by the Commodores.
