Interested in crewing, racing your own boat, spectating, or serving as race committee? We would love to have you! Contact OOYC Fleet Captain, Darren Leonard for information fleetcaptain@ooyc.org

Season Schedule - The schedule for the 2024 racing season includes two 6-race weeknight series and three trophy races for spinnaker and genoa only fleets.

Thursday Night Course Racing - For the racers, spectators, and race committee, Thursday evenings are the official start of the weekend at Oak Orchard! All members and guests, racers and non-racers alike, are invited and encouraged to come up to the clubhouse after the race for food, drinks, and camaraderie.

The 11th Annual Henri Cup Invitational Race - July 13 - For 2024, this 10-15 nm race honoring OOYC icon, Henri DeValk, is going to be the same great race but now it’s an invitational! Sailors from neighboring harbors far and wide are invited to participate in this “short” long distance race. Come join the fun! Spinnaker, Genoa Only, and Double-handed fleets! 2024 Henri Race NoR Henri Race Flyer 2024

Lakeside Race - A classic returns! New for 2024 is the reinstitution of the Lakeside Race. This race was a club tradition for many years sponsored by Bunny White DeValk. The Lakeside will be held on August 10th and will be a two-legged race from a start line near the harbor to a mark in the vicinity of Lakeside Beach and return.

The Ketchup Race - August 31st - The Labor Day weekend classic is always a season highlight. It’s been more than 45 years since Paul Drushler came up with what is arguably the first pursuit race on the Great Lakes! Race the race and/or join us for the post-race Bloody Mary party hosted by John and Steve Pulver and Wally Kowalik.
